Sadly, No One Gives a Chance on This 2-Years Young Shepherd Living in High Kill Shelter

This pretty little boy is so grateful to be out on a walk she just about prances with joy. He makes me want to skip along, too! Though MAX still has a bit of growing to do, he is already tremendously poised and gentle, and has come a long way from the scared dog he was just days ago. He can sit still, whether treats are forthcoming or not, and does not have the puppy tendencies to jump up on people or try to turn their hands into a teeter.

He is instead finely attuned to her handler, instantly sensing when to slow down or walk another way, and thrilling at any praise. MAX perks up and gazes kindly when we encounter a group of admiring school kids - maybe they remind him of his former family? - and is calm meeting other dogs and adjusting well in play groups. he is already so well-rounded here, and would truly blossom in a home of his own. Meet MAX soon at San Bernardino City Animal Shelter!
